Traumatic Incidents: Early Intervention - Changi General Hospital, 24-26 July 2008
Everyday, newspapers report various kinds of traumatic events that afflict people. Some are a result of natural disasters while others are the acts of human violence. In developed nations like Singapore, the number of people affected by road traffic and work-related accidents are escalating.
The theme of this conference “Traumatic Incidents: Early Intervention” aims to highlight the strategies and psychological interventions available for use during the early or acute phase post incident that would help mitigate the impact of trauma to survivors and their families.
